What's Happening at the Library

Story Break @ the Hearst Library

Story time at the Hearst Library is every Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. Toddlers, Preschoolers, and K-1st are invited to join us for a story and a craft.

Just bring your ears, your imagination, and less than an hour of your time! If you would like to receive announcements about children's programming at the Hearst Library, contact Melissa at the Hearst Library.

 

Homeschool Library Hour

Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. and Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. during the school year.

Children in grades 2 through 8 participate in the Prairie Pasque (State Book Award) Program as well as learn what resources are available in the library and how to use them.

South Dakota Book Awards

Ask a librarian how to join the Prairie Pasque and Prairie Bud Reading Club! 

The Prairie Pasque Reading Club meets Wednesdays at 1:30 to read aloud a book from the Prarie Pasque book list. If you can't make it to the Reading Group, you can still participate by reading 5 books from any of the South Dakota Book Award Lists. If you complete your reading, you can participate in a Pizza Party in March!
